Smurf Village, June 15, 2023 – Sony Pictures Animation and Lafig Belgium have announced an untitled Smurfs musical animated film set to hit theaters in 2025. The film will be directed by Kelly Asbury, who previously directed "Shrek 2" and "Gnomeo & Juliet."

The film will feature an all-star voice cast, including Demi Lovato as Smurfette, Joe Manganiello as Hefty Smurf, Jack Black as Gargamel, and Danny DeVito as Papa Smurf.
